It is with a very sad heart that we share with you that on Wednesday we lost an amazing individual today in Warren Dunlap. He was a man who truly had green running through his veins. His smile, support for the district, and love of all things Morton will be greatly missed throughout our community.
Warren has the rare distinction to be able to grow up as a Morton Husky, then become both a teacher and coach with the district, then moved on to serving as a board member for the district for several years, and then finished off his time cheering and supporting our kids as they donned the green and orange of MWP. He supported the kids off our community and enjoyed cheering for them in all sports and endeavors.
We are all blessed to have had the opportunity of being around Warren over the decades of support he freely gave to the district and our kids. His example of passion exemplified what it means to be a supporter and to love a district and it's teams.
For the Dunlap family, our deepest condolences for your loss.
Thank you Warren for your amazing example you demonstrated to all of us in the Morton School District community.

ES: Morton Elementary is exploring the idea of starting a Transitional Kindergarten (TK) program. TK is a kindergarten program for children, below the age of five, (must be 4 years old by August 31), and who have been deemed in need of additional preparation in order to be successful in kindergarten the following year. TK would run M-F during regular school hours.
To start this TK program, we must have a minimum number of students. Anyone interested in TK in the area can call 360-496-5143 for more information.
