Hunter Brackett and Noah McCarthy attended the Navy JROTC (Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps) Northwest Leadership Academy at Camp Rilea, Oregon from June 22-29. There were 163 Cadets in attendance from all over the West Coast. They are both preparing for leadership roles in the newly established Morton High School NNDCC (Navy National Defense Cadet Corps) unit starting next school year.

Dear Seniors and Parents, Graduation week is upon us! Please take note of the following important details: Mandatory Graduation Practices: Monday-Thursday at 8 AM Friday at 3 PM (students will stay on campus until graduation) Final Affair/Baccalaureate: Thursday, June 6 at 6 PM in the HS gym Graduation Ceremony: Friday at 6 PM Caps: Students may decorate their caps, which must be approved by Mrs. Hanger and will be kept until graduation. Running Start Students: Please make accommodations with your college professors to attend all graduation practices. Dress Code: Business casual attire is required. Due to facility issues, Morton School District will conduct remote learning on Wednesday, May 21st. Instruction will follow the protocol used on initial snow days. Students or families with questions should contact their teachers during normal school hours. The issue, related to the sewer line, is expected to be resolved by the end of the day tomorrow.

This is an update on transportation for May 6th. The shortage of bus drivers today will affect some bus stops, meaning that some may be around 10 minutes later than usual. The transportation shortage and impact are expected to last through Tuesday and Wednesday of this week, with a potential delay of 10 minutes for pickup and dropoff.

This is an update to our transportation routes for this morning, May 6th. This morning's changes should not affect Mineral routes and Bear Canyon bus stops. Highland Valley, Short Road, Davis Lake, and parts of Morton may be 15 minutes late from normal bus stop time.

Morton School Distict will be operating today with a shortage of bus drivers. Due to today's shortage some routes will be affected. For this morning the Highland Valley Route will occur after other buses drop off students from other routes. Some of the affected areas will be Highland Valley, Short Road, Davis Lake, and parts of Morton. All schools will accommodate students who arrive late due to this transportation change, and breakfast will be provided for students when they arrive. Further changes will need to be arranged for after school transportation, with information coming later today with the details of the changes. It is unknown at this time of the needs for today's changes will occur tomorrow or subsequent days.
